Privacy Policy

Version 1.0. Effective October 7, 2026.

The Butter Place is a DBA of Cozy Butter LLC. This policy covers thebutterplace.com and the information business contacts share with us. For the Cozy Butter GLP‑1 community and its members, the Cozy Butter Privacy Policy applies.

The short version

We collect the details you send us through our contact form so we can reply and talk about working together. We do not sell your personal information. We do not put advertising or social media trackers on this site. You can ask us to see, correct or delete what we hold at any time.

1. What we collect

Contact form. Your name, email address, business name, business website, type of business, what you are looking for, and anything you write in your message.

Email and calls. What you send us when we follow up, and notes from discovery calls.

Technical data. IP address, browser and device type, and pages viewed, collected by our hosting provider for security and to keep the site working. We do not run analytics on this site.

We do not ask for health information on this site. Please do not include it in the contact form.

2. How we use it

  • To reply to your request and schedule a discovery call.
  • To prepare proposals, run projects and send invoices if we work together.
  • To keep business records the tax and accounting rules require.
  • To keep the site secure and working.

We will not add you to a marketing list without asking. If you do sign up for updates, every email has an unsubscribe link.

3. Who we share it with

Only the service providers that help us run the business, and only for that purpose. They may not use your information for their own purposes or sell it.

  • Google Workspace holds our email and files, administered by GLP‑1 Studio LLC under the same arrangement described in the Cozy Butter Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare hosts and protects this site and receives contact form submissions, which we store in our own business records and forward to our inbox.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, under a duty of confidentiality.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business, in which case the new owner must honor this policy.

4. Patient data and client projects

When we run insights or recruitment projects, the patients who take part come from the Cozy Butter GLP‑1 community and our founders’ audiences. They opt in to each opportunity, and their information is covered by the Cozy Butter Privacy Policy and the consent they give for that project. Clients receive de-identified results unless a participant agrees otherwise. Project-specific terms are set out in each client agreement.

5. Visitors outside the United States

We work with businesses in the United States. Our providers store data in the United States, so if you contact us from another country, the information you send us will be transferred there. If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Cozy Butter LLC is the controller of your information. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and running our business, and on contract where we work together.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept for the length of the relationship plus seven years for tax purposes. Security logs are kept up to 12 months.

7. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. If you are in the UK or EU, you can also object to processing, ask us to restrict it, and complain to your local data protection authority. We answer within 30 days and do not treat you differently for asking.

To make a request, use our contact form email [email protected], or write to Cozy Butter LLC, 3800 Business Highway 151, #113, Marion, IA 52302.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit on every page, multi-factor authentication on our accounts, and access limited to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, and if a breach affects your information we will tell you as the law requires.

9. How we use AI

We use AI tools to help us run the business. That includes organizing and summarizing contact form submissions and emails, drafting replies and proposals, preparing analysis and reports for client projects, and creating content for our sites.

We use AI providers such as Anthropic and OpenAI under business terms that exclude our content from model training. A person on our team reviews client deliverables before they go out. We do not use AI to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. See the Cozy Butter AI Policy for more.

10. Cookies

This site uses only the cookies it needs to work and stay secure. We do not use advertising pixels, social media pixels, session replay or cross-site tracking. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

11. Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date. Questions and requests can go through our contact form or by mail to Cozy Butter LLC, 3800 Business Highway 151, #113, Marion, IA 52302.
